The Summary widget is an AI feature that allows you to summarize a widget and display the summary to participants. Widgets it can be connected to include Super Chat, Poll, Pulse, Allocate, Priority, PDF, Video and Audio widgets. While AI+ can be connected to multiple widgets, the Summary widget is connected to one widget only.
Note: The Summary widget needs to be on the same page as the widget you want to connect it to. If you want to hide the widget from participants, consider adding an admin container or create a parallel version of the Super Chat widget and move both to another page.
How to add the Summary widget
Make sure that you have enabled generative AI features and widgets in workspace settings -> AI
Go to edit page mode
Click "add widget" and find "Summary" under insights. If you don't see it, make sure you've enabled the widget in workspace settings -> widgets.
Select the widget you want to connect the Summary to
[Optional]: you can also write custom instructions to the AI, e.g. "Focus only on decisions. Do not include other content.", or "What is discussed about communication? Exclude other topics".
Save
Note: It's not possible to change the widget Summary is connected to afterwards. To achieve that, add a new Summary widget on the page.
Editing the widget
You can edit the Summary widget by clicking "Edit" from the "..." widget menu.
Title and description
In the edit mode, you can add a title and additional information, much like in the Text widget. Read more about the text editor here.
Custom summary instructions for the AI
Here you can add custom instructions to e.g. have the AI focus on a specific angle or exclude topics you don't want the summary to cover.
Note: The AI tries to guess the prominent language of the source. Sometimes, especially with Super Chats that have comments in multiple languages, it gets the language wrong and as a result, the summary is in an unexpected language. To fix it, you can add a custom instruction, e.g. "write the summary in English".
Length
You can choose the length of the summary between (up to) 30, 60 or 120 words.
Who can edit
You can allow participants to edit the widget by adding their email addresses or selecting a userlist in the "Who can edit" section.
Widget styles
You can edit the appearance of the widget with Widget styles! More information about Widget styles can be found in this article.
