Most widgets contain a text editor with many features that let you customise the widget's appearance.
Changing the font
The font is determined by the widget style that is used. To change the font, you need to change to a different widget style or you need to edit the current widget style. More information about widget styles in this article.
Text editor features
Basic text editor features include:
Bold, Italic, and Strikethrough to highlight certain parts of the text.
The "Formats" dropdown menu offers the option to make some elements stand out by using the highlight color of the widget style for the text or the background.
The highlight colour can be chosen in the widget styles.
You can also add headings and subheadings from the second dropdown menu.
You can add bullet lists, numbered lists, and horizontal lines to make long texts more readable.
Tags can be used to personalize the communications in the workspace. You can insert a tag from the "Tags" dropdown menu in the editor.
Options include first name ("[TO_USER_FIRST_NAME]"), full display name ("[TO_USER_DISPLAY_NAME]"), and workspace name ("[WORKSPACE_NAME]")
You can add links directly within the text editor. When configuring a link, you can:
Set the destination URL
Choose how the link opens: in the same window or a new window
Select the link’s appearance under "Class": display it as a standard underlined link, or style it as a primary or secondary button. Button designs depend on the widget style used.
Emojis can be added straight from the text editor.
Text can be aligned to the left, center, or right.
If the widget is too narrow for the text editor, some toolbar items will be hidden by default. You can see the rest of the toolbar by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of the editor.
Tables
The text editor also has a simple table tool. Find it in the toolbar, choose the dimensions you want and start adding content to it.
Once you've selected the basic dimensions and created the table, you have a few options:
Delete table
Row header: designate any row as the header
Column header: designate any column as the header
Insert row before the currently selected row
Insert row after the currently selected row
Delete row: removes the currently selected row
Insert column before the currently selected column
Insert column after the currently selected column
Delete column: removes the currently selected column
Note: the table will always fill the entire widget width. To adjust, you can change container width or add columns around the one with the table and adjust those.
