Track and view the progress of your participants

Updated over a month ago

Howspace Free does not support the Progress.

The Progress feature allows workspace admins to track participant progress with greater ease. It shows how many activities each user has completed and enables automatic certificate issuance once all tasks are finished.

In the Progress tab, admins can monitor participant progress in selected activities. Completed activities are highlighted in green, while incomplete ones are shown in grey/red. For path-based activities, admins can track the number of steps completed. They can also choose to manually or automatically approve users and issue certificates based on their progress.

How to use the feature

Make sure the feature is enabled for your workspace in the workspace settings. Once enabled, navigate to the Progress tab:

Click "Edit Progress" and choose which Learning paths, Allocates, Audios, Bookings, PDFs, Polls, Priorities, Pulses, Super Chats, Videos, Evaluations and Custom Super Chat activities you want to track. Choose how many comments a user has to post in a super chat widget to get a passed status for that custom activity.

Advanced Settings

With the Edit Progress modal open, you can see and configure the advanced settings

My Progress / sidebar:

  • Show My progress in workspace: This selection defines if the Progress sidebar is visible for users inside the workspace.

    • Sequential learning path: Users must complete the activities in the order they are presented.

    • Show points: Defines if the points of each activity are visible in the sidebar

    • Show total points: Defines if the total score from all activites is visible to users in the sidebar.

Approval:

  • Approval: Choose whether users are approved manually, automatically, or at all.

  • Issue certificate after user is approved: Once the user has passed the assessment, they will automatically receive a certificate. This option is available both for manual and automatic approval.

How to assess user progress

Once a participant has completed all activities needed to be approved, admins can assess the activities or set assessment to be done automatically. Also, as mentioned above, there is an option in advanced settings to automatically issue a certificate once approved. Issuing certificates can also be done manually by admins.

Filtering & Settings

When managing dozens of users in the workspace, filtering becomes essential for quickly finding the users you need. You can filter by various attributes like profile fields, user lists, or approval status. Additionally, you can freeze specific user information on the left side of the table, ensuring the user's details remain visible as you evaluate their progress.

View

The view options allow choosing between 'List' and 'Card'. This is how the list view looks:
