Howspace Admin’s Guide: Strategy Implementation

Strategy implementation often fails if it remains mere communication. With the Howspace platform, you can transform the strategy from a passive document into an active journey shared by the entire organization.

This article provides guidance on how to build a workspace that engages, involves, and makes change visible.

Phase 1: Build a Bridge from the Past to the Future

Don’t start from scratch. People engage better when they feel their previous work is valued.

  • Admin Tip: Use the Super Chat widget and ask users to share successes from the previous strategy period.

  • Prompting Question: "In your opinion, what has been the most significant achievement in the last two years?"

  • Goal: To demonstrate that we are already on our way (e.g., 40% ready) instead of starting from zero.

  • You can also utilize the Pulse widget to evaluate successes in different areas of the strategy.

Phase 2: Make the Strategy Personal

For many employees, strategy is a distant concept. The Admin’s task is to bring it close to their daily life.

  • Admin Tip: Utilize the Video widget (a short greeting from management) and alongside it, Super Chat widgets asking, for example:

    • "How does this goal manifest in your work week?"

    • "What support would you need to implement this goal better?"

Phase 3: Utilize AI to Manage the Masses

As an Admin, you don’t need to read every comment manually; instead, you can leverage Howspace's AI.

  • Admin Tip: Use Howspace’s AI tools (Summary & Word Cloud, Mindmap, or prompting) to analyze conversations and display the summary to create a shared vision and transparency.

Phase 4: Track Progress and Celebrate "Quick Wins"

Implementation is a marathon, not a sprint. Keep the workspace alive even after the launch.

  • Admin Tip: Create an Idea Wall (e.g., using Canvas or Super Chat widgets) where employees can post photos and stories of small strategic acts in their everyday lives.

  • Metrics: Use the Pulse widget regularly (e.g., once a month) to ask, for example: "How strongly do you feel that the strategy has become part of your everyday work?"

Admin’s Checklist (Best Practices):

  • Transparency: Keep results visible to everyone. Transparency increases trust.

  • Iteration: Don’t build the entire workspace at once. Open new sections as the process progresses.

  • Inclusive Language: Avoid jargon. Use inviting and practical questions.

  • AI as an Assistant: Use AI to pick out experimental suggestions from the conversations that can be tested immediately.

Remember: Howspace is not just a storage place for files, but a place where strategy comes to life through dialogue.
