Path mode: Facilitated

This article describes how to use Facilitated Path mode on a page in your workspace.

Updated over a month ago

Facilitated Path mode allows you to build a process in advance and run it seamlessly by letting you focus on the most important - the participants. Facilitated Path mode can be enabled on any page in your workspace and when it's enabled, admins choose which container to display to participants. Facilitated Path mode offers targeted focus and precise control over the content flow.

Participants can only see the selected section (container) of the page and cannot move forward or backward on the page without the admin changing the view for all users. This allows for the focus of the participants to stay on a specific section of the page as long as needed.

To enable Facilitated Path mode for a page, go to page settings > Path mode > tick the "Facilitated" box and save.

When Facilitated Path Mode is active, admins can access the path control bar, which displays essential information: the facilitator’s profile image, next and previous step buttons, a dropdown to jump to any step, and an indicator showing if users are still writing in any Super Chat widgets within the current step. An optional step description is also visible. The path control bar is available only to admins and page admins.

Editing facilitated path

In the background, each container is defined as a separate step except for admin and hidden containers, which are only visible in the edit view and not in the facilitated path. You can link containers to create more complex page structures and extend steps as needed. Additionally, you have the option to add 'always-visible' containers at the top of the edit view that appear in every step of the path. This feature is useful for elements like a live widget, enabling participants to join a meeting from any step, or a general chat that remains accessible throughout the session.

In the edit view you can see all the contents of the path and the current step that is shown to participants is highlighted with a purple frame. You cannot change the step in the edit view, you must go back to the view page mode.

You can also define a name and description for each part of the path by clicking edit here:

This opens a modal where you are able to edit and write an optional description for the step. The description and name are only visible for admin users in edit view and in the path control bar.
