Notification settings

This article explains how notification settings function.

In notification settings, you can choose what triggers email notifications and how often they are sent. You can find notification settings by navigating to Workspace Manager -> settings -> notification settings.

Overall settings

The upper part of the settings tells, who gets which notifications in the workspace. The column on the right side tells, whether or not an email notification is sent for the activity immediately.

Email settings

In general, email notifications are only sent if there is activity that the user has notifications for after the last time they visited the workspace.

If you enable the option immediate email for personal notifications, you will see the column on the right side update to reflect, which notifications generate immediate email. New comments or replies are not considered personal notifications, unless the user is specifically mentioned or the reply is to user's own comment.

Note: to avoid spam, notification emails are sent at most once per 12 hours. All notifications can be seen within the workspace.

If you enable digest emails, you can set a default time (immediately, daily, weekly, monthly) for users to receive an email summary of workspace notifications.

Note: Participants can set a personal preference for how often email notifications are sent in their profile. Participants also have the option to turn email notifications off, after which they will only see notifications in the workspace.
