How to export workspace-level data

This article explains what kinds of workspace-level data you can export and how to do that.

Updated over a year ago

Howspace Free does not support workspace content export.

To export workspace-level files:

  1. Open the Admin menu

  2. Click Workspace Manager

  3. Open the Export tab

  4. Choose which file you want to download and click "Start new export"

  5. Click the generated .zip or Excel file to download it.

There are four different workspace-level export options: export content to Excel, export users' content to Excel, export page visits to Excel, and export users' activity to Excel.

Export content to Excel creates a zip file that includes a folder for each page in the workspace, and an Excel file for each Assignment, Booking, Super Chat, Exam, Poll, Pulse and Priority widget on that page. These files are the same as the ones you can download from widget menu (see this article for more details), but this option allows you to download all of them at once.

Export users' content to Excel creates an Excel file that has a row for each workspace user, and the data of each user (name, email, custom profile fields, widget answers). Please note that the file does not include deleted users or data for any widget that is set to permanently anonymous. The widgets included in this file are Assignment, Super Chat, Poll, Pulse and Priority.

Export page visits to Excel creates a zip file with a folder including an Excel file for each page in the workspace, as well as an Excel file with one row per each user and all workspace pages in columns. These files show the time each user has spent on each page in the workspace. Please note that the data is only available for the past year.

Export users' activity to Excel creates an Excel file that includes data on when users were last active in the workspace, when they were last active on each page of the workspace, as well as data on their activity in each Assignment, Super Chat, PDF, Video and Exam widget. Super Chats and Assignments show comments, Exam shows the points users received, PDF shows how many pages of the file users have gone through, and Video shows how much of it users watched as a percentage. Please note that video data is only available for videos that have been uploaded to the workspace.
