Howspace Hub connects to your Howspace Account using Partner API. This connection is needed so that Hub can create workspaces, add & remove participants from workspaces and get information about completed trainings.
How to create an API key
You need to be a main user of your Howspace Account so that you can access Account Manager. You can verify this in your profile menu in any workspace:
In Account Manager, navigate to Partner API from the side menu and there you can create a new API key from the Create button:
Note: if you don't see Partner API in the left menu, please reach out to your contact person at Howspace.
You should give the new API key a descriptive name (it doesn't have a technical meaning but it helps you separate it from the rest of the keys). Here is a screenshot of the recommended settings for the API key:
You need to enable get-workspace-user-login-link
so that smooth transition from Hub to a workspace is possible. We recommend unchecking delete-workspace
permission, since Hub doesn't need it.
After you have created the API-key, you can copy it from the page under the the "..." menu:
Please note that an API key can be compared to a password. Do not deliver it using email or any other unsecure communications channel.
